New pragma source::encoding
This allows you to declare that the portion of a program for the remainder of the lexical scope of this pragma is encoded either entirely in ASCII (for use source::encoding 'ascii') or if UTF-8 is allowed as well (for use source::encoding 'utf8'). No other encodings are accepted. The second form is entirely equivalent to use utf8, and may be used interchangeably with that.
The purpose of this pragma is to catch cases early where you forgot to specify use utf8.

Question that appears not to have an easily accessible answer.
I have an Android phone, and a laptop with Ubuntu 20.04 (soon to be upgraded ... shouldn't make a difference).
Currently I can connect them with a USB cable, from the laptop I can see the Android file system, and I can run "rsync" on the appropriate director "over there" to keep an up-to-date copy on my laptop.
I'd very much like to do this wirelessly.
I have bluetooth on both, and they are both on the same local network via WiFi.
What can I use?
I've tried installing GSConnect with no success, and I've tried LocalSend, also with no success.

❔As the tech transbian of the family, I'm trying to get my mother to regain some of the independence blindness (add an overprotective partner to the mix for maximum effect) took away from her by re-teaching her to use the computer. When she lost her sight she used JAWS or NVDA (I can't remember which one) and she even wrote a couple of books with that, but a fatal update broke compatibility with the program and neither her nor her partner knew how to deal with that situation, so she started relying on other people for computer stuff.
So, fedi people with disabilities, I'm asking for pointers on this. Accessibility software of any kind, if there are updated versions of either JAWS or NVDA that run on modern Windows (don't tell her to delve into Linux, that ain't happening in the near future. One baby step at the time.) or any alternative software to those programs, voice controls, resources for learning, anything. All info is welcome. Thanks in advance!

A new version of the lightweight and powerful text-editor Lite XL has been released for AmigaOS 4.1. This time it is version 2.1.68r1.
The port is being maintained by George Sokianos a.k.a Walkero. The program itself was created by Francesco Abbate and the Lite XL team.
George Sokianos writes as follows about the new release on his Ko-fi page:
This new version is the first one that uses SDL3, the latest version of the SDL framework that powers it. Unfortunately, with that, there comes some slowdown in the editor that is visible with an increased CPU usage and having the scrolling and animations being slower. I put great effort the past 3 weeks profiling the code and providing all the necessary information to the original Lite XL team, as well as Capehill who is responsible for the SDL3 port to AmigaOS 4, and BeWorld who does the same for MorphOS.
