Yesterday afternoon, a Red Kite and our car hit one another, as it was swooping down for some road-kill. It hit hard enough to fold the wing mirror in.
We went back and took it off the road. It was conscious, but completely motionless, apart from its eyes. Claws clenched, wings folded. I thought it must be paralysed.
We took it to the vet. Apparently, about an hour or so later it seemed recovered, they released it, and it flew off. Tough bird!
🦝❤️ Heartwarming rescue! A compassionate animal lover in Long Island saved a raccoon with its head stuck in a jar, giving it a new lease on life. Kindness saves the day!
