@NaraMoore It requires you to turn on GlitchSoc. If you click the GlitchSoc link, it shows you how to turn on the feature if Sakurajima.Moe supports it. It is needed to author markdown. That your server shows the formatting is a good sign that all you need to do is turn it on. Hope it works!

@sfwrtr @NaraMoore She's on Misskey, not sure they support it. Text formatting on the Fediverse can get weird, depending on what your instance runs, you might be able to use Markdown, HTML or BBCode (my favorite), but you'll have to ask your admin if it doesn't show what software your instance uses.

If you have a three dots button, this takes you to the instance main page. See red arrow. I've highlighted that GlitchSoc is running.
@sfwrtr @NaraMoore Chuckles, "Or rith there in the third paragraph at the bottom. On Misskey , the instance type can be found in the left column on any page, and I can't remember where it is on Pleroma which parses mark down standard
