I got to see #EtranDelAir for the second time last night. What an honor to have a band all the way from #Niger come to play for us. The beautiful, layered, rhythmic sounds laced with twinkling, intertwining guitar lines just makes me ecstatic. Its celebratory music tempered with a depth of emotion brought by the experience of prolonged hardship of the #Tuareg people. It’s rebel music you can dance to. As a #BlackPunk, getting to watch these musicians means a lot. It’s raw, urgent, political and transcendent. #SahelSounds
