Can anyone recommend a good fantasy book (series preferably). Specifically I'm looking for good world building that is not just a retread of tolkien-esque tropes but not just medieval with magic either. Not romance, and I've already read most of Brandon Sanderson's stuff #books #fantasybooks
@renegademinis.bsky.social Joe Abercrombie. The Blade Itself is the first book. You also have Naomi Novik's Temeraire series, ten pretty effing good books. Guy Gavriel Kay is awesome, all of his books. Under Heaven is one of the best books I have ever read.
