🌍 Secretarybird (Sagittarius serpentarius)

The secretarybird or secretary bird is a large, terrestrial bird of prey found in open grasslands and savannas across sub-Saharan Africa. It has a distinctive appearance with a long neck, powerful legs, and a flattened crest of black feathers on its head, resembling quill pens behind the ears. It hunts primarily on foot, stalking its prey, which includes snakes, lizards, insects, and small mammals. The Secretarybird is a highly specialized predator, using its powerful legs to stomp on and kill its prey.
