This #WIPWednesday I'm working on the book cover and planning to go to a local needlework store in hopes they have silk thread that's finer than what I'm using, single plies of Pepper Pot Silk which is a 3-ply embroidery floss/thread. I don't often venture to that quaint part of the county and am hoping it goes well.

Sulky stick & stitch printed on an ink jet printer and stuck to off-white dupioni silk. There are four sets of stylized trees arranged in a wide oval. Each set has 3 large trees and two small trees. The first two set have been worked; the first is winter with bare brown tree branches (I'm waiting for white to show up so I can add snow). The second set is spring, which looks like winter but with bright chartreuse French knots. The next set in the circle is summer and the trees have three shades of green French knots and only 2 of the trees are completed, the rest are just trunks & rudimentary branches. The final set is autumn, with red, yellow, and orange tree tops. The spine and title are visible; it's for Washington Irving's "The Sketchbook of Geoffrey Crayon, Gentleman."
