@amadeus The develop branch was updated 2 months ago: https://github.com/sonosaurus/sonobus/tree/develop
@dreamer Oh, good to know! However, it doesn't look like there will be a new release with bug fixes or new features any time soon. 🤔
@amadeus Features seem unnecessary, if it works then it works. And it might be considered "feature complete".
Bugfixes would be nice of course. Nobody likes bugs :)
@dreamer Absolutely! Actually, IMHO SonoBus is already great. What I would love to see would be integrated video and screen sharing. And, direct PipeWire support. SonoBus also crashes maybe twice an hour for me. But I don't want to complain. I think SonoBus is amazing. 🤓
@amadeus What is the point of direct PipeWire support? aren't the alsa/pulse/jack APIs sufficient?
(also very unlikely to happens because it's based on JUCE)
@dreamer I assume that it would work a little smoother if it communicated directly with PipeWire. But that's just an assumption, of course.
@amadeus There is no reason to assume that.
But also as said: JUCE doesn't (and very likely will never) support PipeWire. Just use the existing options, they should be sufficient.
It crashing regularly is a bigger issue that will hopefully get solved. Do make sure there is a proper bug-report of course :)
