A painting of a forest on the Canadian Shield, a rocky area that covers much of eastern Canada. Large white rocks emerge from orange-ish brown ground. The ground is dappled with yellow and orange leaves that have falledn from the thin white trees that crowd this shoreline. Through the trees, dark blue water with placid waves is visible, as a lake stretches out in the distance, hemmed in by a continual line of trees in the distance.
