The U.S. Department of Defense is going to start using Grok, the AI chatbot embedded in X, founder Elon Musk's xAI company says. The startup announced a $200 million government contract and says it is also rolling out what it called "Grok for Government," which can be customized for specific uses across areas such as science and healthcare. The Defense Department has also awarded contracts to Anthropic, Google and OpenAi, according to a representative from the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office. Here's more from @THR.
