@aral I saw this yesterday and was enthused until I saw the Meta logo. Like, how can you have a conversation about privacy and interop with Meta in the room?
@Minentromax Why? What’s wrong with Meta? They’re partners with Mastodon at Social Web Foundation. You mean to tell me Mastodon would partner with them if they were horrible? No, no, you must be mistaken. Clearly Meta are a force for good in the world.

@aral Can't tell if sarcasm.... ;) - I feel like everytime I switch to something new, Meta or Google or Amazon show up, trying to shove their nonsense in somewhere. It's like breaking up with a abusive ed.
