We know many of you are tired of protests. So use these hyper-local events to connect with your neighbors and find an organization to join that is local, direct-action-oriented, and doing something that impacts your immediate neighbors. Good examples of local and state organizations to join are:

mutual aid groups

bail funds

anti-racist groups

immigration accompaniment/sponsorship programs

ICE watch groups

LGBTQ+ refugee support groups (for folks leaving or entering the US)

Try to look for groups that are giving resources directly to those in need, and without excessive bureaucracy and structured applications. Direct mutual aid and solidarity are the name of the game now, and your goal is to connect with your neighbors and build structures that will allow you to support each other as things continue to go downhill.
